Job description
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with a background in aerospace manufacturing to join our team.
Our client is a leading aerospace manufacturing company committed to delivering high-quality components for the aviation industry. With a focus on precision engineering and innovation, we strive to meet the stringent standards of safety and performance demanded by the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities:

TIG Welding: Perform TIG welding operations on aerospace components according to specifications, ensuring adherence to precise tolerances and quality standards.

Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, degreasing, and machining surfaces as necessary to ensure proper weld integrity.

Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure they meet company and industry standards for strength, integrity, and aesthetic appearance.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of welding parameters, material certifications, and inspection reports to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, to maintain a safe working environment.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to troubleshoot issues, optimize welding processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder in the aerospace industry preferred, however experience within a high tolerance environment also considered (including Automotive and Manufacturing), materials and welding techniques.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards
- Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment, including TIG welding machines and associated tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity, with the ability to produce high-quality welds on complex components.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior experience with aerospace welding procedures and certifications preferred.
