EW Operational Support Engineer:

Our client, a leading company in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking an EW Operational Support Engineer to join their team. This is a contract position with an initial 6-month duration, offering competitive hourly rates, inside IR35. The role is based in either Bristol or Stevenage, with 2 days on site per week.

The Opportunity:

The EW Group supports activities on relevant weapon system and missile programmes, with specific responsibilities for the weapon system design and verification, system and equipment integration, RF system design, threat analysis, and modelling & simulation activities associated with EW capability and performance.
We are recruiting to support two key areas of EW capability:

• The first is the ability to integrate Electromagnetic Attack Weapons into the wider sovereign EW Operational Data Generation services, and to engineer our weapon systems to make effective use of EW Mission Data.
• The second is to provide EW Domain knowledge, advice, and leadership into EA Weapon System programs in support of systems engineering organizations.

Skills:

• Awareness of the EW Mission Data Lifecycle
• Experience of EW Operational Support (EWOS) Infrastructure, Processes, and Organizations
• Knowledge of EW Principles and Operational use cases
• Knowledge of MOD organizations, especially those that relate to EW and Weapon Systems
• Experience in EW Mission Data development and/or Mission Data Toolset development
• Experience in Product development, ideally across the full engineering lifecycle
