Job description

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting manufactured parts against drawing, model-based definition, and other design data. Your role will contribute to ensuring the highest levels of quality and compliance in the production process.

Role Summary
You will be joining a team of Quality Inspectors who perform inspections on metallic and composite assemblies, conduct stage inspections of major assemblies, compile shipping paperwork, complete First Article Inspection Reports, and certify parts. Full training will be provided to develop the required skills and competency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe workplace environment and adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety policies
  • Accurately record clockings and bookings
  • Maintain clean workstations and uphold a clear desk policy
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality standards and procedures
  • Support cost reduction and management initiatives
  • Keep knowledge and training up to date for necessary operations
  • Participate actively in team meetings and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Perform any other reasonable duties that align with the role

Job Requirements

  • Relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or time-served apprenticeship in allied trades
  • Previous experience using measuring equipment (e.g., Verniers, Micrometer)
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes utilized in the Aerospace industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of MRP system (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive attitude and a desire to learn and grow with the company
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently

Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
