Job description

Introduction

Our client, a leading company in the water industry, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a contract position based in Walton-on-Thames, offering a competitive daily rate of £450 a/d Inside IR35. With a focus on the water sector, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to contribute to important projects in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the contractual and financial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Perform risk analysis and identify potential cost savings or value engineering opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing and timely payment processing.
• Monitor project progress, variations, and claims, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
• Assist with the preparation of tender documents, contract negotiation, and final account agreements.

Job Requirements

• Significant experience in quantity surveying within the water, civil, or rail sectors.
• Strong knowledge of contract conditions and commercial management.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse risks, identify potential issues, and provide proactive solutions.
• Qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field is highly desirable.
