Introduction:
Our client is seeking to recruit a Graduate or Consultant Transport Planner / Modeller.
Job Specification:
Responsibilities will include analysing data for market research projects, developing economic models, GIS applications, and the general application of mathematical and economic skills to variety of transport related projects. Work includes the use of simulation models such as SATURN, TRIPS, VISSIM and the use of in-house modelling software. Applicants should have at least a 2.1 in an appropriate Bachelors degree (i.e. Engineering, Geography, Operational Research, Transport or IT). A Masters degree in a relevant subject would be desirable, but not essential. Previous experience in a similar role is a must. An interest in, and prior experience of, IT is essential and experience in the use of programming languages such as VB would be an advantage. You will have excellent communication skills with high standard of spoken and written English, be well presented and self-motivated, as well as keen to learn about all areas of the Modelling department.
