Introduction:
Excellent opportunity for a Facilities Manager with experience of working within a manufacturing environment
Job Specification:
My client, a well established manufacturing company, have an opening for a Facilities Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Management of all aspects of on site maintenance to include
2) Buildings and plant
3) Everyday management of a team of skilled fitters, technicians and electricians.
4) Introduce and manage TPM
5) Logging maintenance work and maintaining historical records in a logical manner
6) Fault-finding and repair of mechanical equipment
7) Liasing with contractors for repairs, installations and alterations where appropriate
8) Site safety and security – (lock up –call outs)
9) Be the responsible person for security alarms and fire systems
10) Manage our Environmental Management System to ISO 14001
11) Ensure ongoing compliance with environmental and health and safety legislation.
12) Advise , be part of implementation process to address new legislation
13) Relevant qualification
14) Manage the Health and safety system
15) Manage routine inspections of specific equipment to current legislation.
16) Continuous monitoring of all risk assessments, and to carry out risk assessments in accordance with legislation requirements.
17) Ensure compliance with COSSH regulations
18) Apply all legislation requirements and health and safety issues to all contractors.
19) Relevant qualification – IOSH , NEBOSH
Previous Experience:
1) Proven record in maintaining industrial/manufacturing equipment within a manufacturing environment is essential.
2) Implementation of new procedures and directives is essential
3) Professional training in Health and Safety is essential
4) IT skills
5) Fitting / fault finding and repair of Electro/mechanical equipment is essential
6) Experience of managing people would be a distinct advantage
7) Knowledge of EMS to ISO14001 is highly desirable
8) Similar experience from another site.
