Introduction:
A leading international engineering company are looking for a Sales Manager to manage the business development and account management strategy across the sales engineering team.
Job Specification:
This position is ideally suited to an experienced Sales Manager, with a proven track record in business development within the pumps, turbine, rotating equipment, compressor products and services. Qualified to minimum HND level in engineering or equivalent technical experience
Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:
- In conjunction with each Hub Manager/Operations Director, set quotas and measure individual Sales Engineers against these targets on a monthly basis.
- Provide periodic statistical information to assist in the compilation of a monthly sales report.
- Provide tools and structure to more effectively gather and leverage customer information and relationships across the Region.
- Develop with region operation Directors / GM’s a standard tender format & customer reports giving consistency to our client base.
- Ensure effective cross-Regional liaison with counterparts in the P&I division
- Help develop & manage the Key Account Management as a process within the Region.
- Develop and implement overall Sales strategy and direction in line with Regional and Divisional goals and the Strategic Plan.
- Develop and maintain key client contacts at senior level in conjunction with the Regional Business Units
- In conjunction with each Hub Manager/Operations Director, establish and maintain quantifiable kpi’s regarding sales by salesman, industry and client; hit rates; new business development, etc. This will involve managing those who cannot deliver as well as selectively up-skilling the group when opportunities arise to do so.
- Develop and implement training and development plans for the Sales force based on gap and needs analyses.
- Active involvement in the introduction and ongoing development of the Critical Parts Supply (CPS) business into the WES Europe Region.
Key Skills/Criteria
Sales Manager with strategy development and implementation experience
Experience of training and development of a sales team
Product/Industry knowledge- Pumps, Turbines, Rotating Equipment, Compressors, Industry- Oil& Gas, Process/Power and Industrial sectors
