Important: Experience working within the Medical Device industry
Introduction:
My client is a medical device manufacturer that is going through a transition project to relocate production in Ireland. As a result of this transfer, there is a requirement for contractor to provide support into the Quality & Design Departments.
Job Specification:
-The role is to create validation protocols for handheld electronic medical devices and to then facilitate the validation plans and design sign-off.
-Working with the existing QA, RA and design team members, the contractor would create appropriate protocols to ensure that all new products are fully validated and that all aspects of the design meet regulatory requirements.
-The existing staff would provide detailed product knowledge and the contractor would bring experience of writing protocols that encompass all design validation requirements. The contractor would then work with the QA, RA and design staff to create appropriate plans for validating a number of new products and support the subsequent validation.
-In addition to validation planning, the contractor will be expected to support the creation of product and process FMEA for the new products.
-Also, as a result of the transition, a number of other duties in the QA / RA department may arise and the contractor would ideally be able to support in other quality activities.
-Knowledge and experience of Medical Devices would be highly beneficial although other tightly regulated industries such as aerospace and pharmaceuticals would also provide appropriate experience.
To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
