Introduction:

World Leading Oil & Gas Operator based in Aberdeen require a Procurement Coordinator to join Operation for North Sea Projects. Ideal candidate will have Purchasing experience within Oil & Gas Industry with evidence of Strategic/Commodity Purchasing.

Job Specification:

Role Description:
The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that commodities are procured in line with business needs and in accordance with business rules. This will involve managing purchase requisitions through the purchase-to-pay system for the full purchase life-cycle.

Experience:
The Co-ordinator will educate internal business customers on best practice in the purchasing of items and services. This will involve changing processes where necessary and ensuring they are followed. They will also be required to develop and implement strategies for commodities that are high-volume, low-value in nature. The Procurement Coordinator will report to the Procurement Lead
- Optimise Purchase-to-Pay processes associated with commodities to allow the business to access goods effectively and at optimal price.
- Convert business requirements into requisitions within the purchase-to-pay system
- Procure specific commodities on behalf of the business that are not covered by existing arrangements.
- Educate business users and ensure compliance with relevant PSCM processes and procedures.
- Use e-auction tools to leverage increased value from the supplier marketplace
- A strong background in purchasing or supply chain management, e.g. a buyer in a high-volume, low value environment
- Effective supplier relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of Purchase-to-Pay processes.
- Able to challenge established behaviour
- Experience of developing strategies for low-value commodities
- Experience of ensuring compliance with existing processes

Desirable:
- University degree (Three or four-year Bachelor's degree)
- Experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management with experience in demand management, sourcing and materials management.
- Experience of oil & gas or a related process industry
- Experience of using e-auctions/reverse auctions
- Experience of materials management
