The Role of a Recruitment Consultant

As a graduate trainee at Matchtech Group plc your duties will involve developing business relationships with clients and selling our recruitment service. Recruitment is predominantly a sales role and consultants at Matchtech spend about 70% of their day on the telephone. This is mainly an office-based role, although Consultants are also encouraged to visit clients.

The duties of a Recruitment Consultant are to obtain and qualify bookings / vacancies. You will be utilising the company's in-house database system to access applicants and will also advertise and market vacancies using various forms of media as required. Applicants will need to be assessed by the consultant, put forward for interviews and be given interview feedback. The consultant at Matchtech Group is involved in the whole recruitment cycle, from building the relationship with the Client company and gaining the vacancy, to attracting the applicants and filling the position.
