Some of the documentation technical author jobs would require individuals to produce include; user guidance notes, installation guidance packages, basic fault finding, repair and maintenance techniques and records, AESPs (army equipment support publications) and JSPs (joint services publications). Technical authors use a range of software or tools to write the publications or documentation such as: Framemaker, SGML, Microsoft Word/Office or Acrobat.
