Job description
CNC Machinist (Mori Seiki NH5000 / Fastems)
Location: Titchfield, Hampshire
Contract Type: PAYE (to Dec 2025, likely extension)
About the Role
We're recruiting a CNC Machinist to set and operate a Mori Seiki NH5000 horizontal machining centre, predominantly working with Fastems systems. This is a PAYE contract position within a well-equipped manufacturing facility.
Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am-4:15 pm
Friday: 7:30 am-11:30 am
PAYE Pay Rates
First 12 Weeks
Basic: £18.09 (£20.72 inc. hol)
Overtime: £27.13 (£31.07 inc. hol)
Sundays: £36.17 (£41.43 inc. hol)
After 12 Weeks
Basic: £18.64 (£21.35 inc. hol)
Overtime: £27.95 (£32.02 inc. hol)
Sundays: £37.27 (£42.69 inc. hol)
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate Mori Seiki NH5000 horizontal machining centres with Fastems
- Work from engineering drawings and work instructions
- Record and interpret SPC data
- Use precision measuring equipment (Verniers, micrometers, plug gauges)
- Maintain safe working practices and support continuous improvement
Experience Required
- Proven CNC machining experience, specifically on Mori Seiki NH5000
- Fastems system experience preferred
- Ability to read engineering drawings and record SPC data
- Apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- Aerospace or regulated industry background an advantage
- Right to work in the UK and eligible for ITAR-controlled work
