Job description
Our client, a Defence supplier is looking for Electronics Test Technicians to join them on a contract basis at their site in Farnborough.
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold the sole British nationality and be willing to obtain SC Clearance.
- 6 month initial contract.
- £38.80 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35.
- Fully onsite in Farnborough.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support test on problems too complex for production tester
- Fault find to component level on both RF modules and complex CCA's.
- Test Procedures - may be required to assist with the preparation of production test procedures from engineering specifications to assure that the product is being adequately tested in every parameter required.
- Analyse test problems and inform the project test engineer when a design problem exists.
- Assembly -- Performs assembly/test of highly complex assemblies used in military communications.
- Administrative -- Assists on cost reduction, and records to identify problem areas in test.
- Conduct Special To Type Equipment (STTE) acceptance and/or qualification and/or type test.
- Assists in development, assembly, and maintenance of STTE.
- Assist with the Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) activities on all ATE
- Assist others in the department when needed
- Administrative - Assists on cost reduction and records to identify problem areas in test.
- Conduct system acceptance and/or qualification and/or type test.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Requires strong knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline
- May have basic knowledge of software programming
- ONC/HNC and a minimum of 8 years prior experience
- Broad knowledge of component level troubleshoot on complex RF or Digital CCAs
