Job description
Our client, a leading Aerospace company in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer for a contract position. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to cutting-edge technology and work in a flexible working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware requirements capture and management
- Concept development for complex functions and systems
- PCB design for FPGA
- High-speed digital design and analysis
- Integration and test
- Design of supporting electronics, including point of load power and analogue
- Production of material for design reviews
- Development of test planning, integration, and design verification
- Mentoring and supervision of more junior team members
Job Requirements:
You really must have:
- Proficiency with design of high-speed digital PCBs with large FPGAs
- Experience with design tool and also in the lab
- A passion for new technology
- A desire to improve how we deliver to our customers
You will have experience in several of the following areas:
- Designing electronics for harsh environments
- PCB for FPGAs
- High-speed digital interfaces (10 Gbps and faster!)
- Matlab
- Spice
- Mentor DxDesigner
- Hyperlynx
- Keysight SIPro/PIPro
