The automotive industry is moving forward once more, after years of decline following the financial crisis of 2008. The number of new cars being made and sold in the UK is on the up with figures of 1.5 million and 2.5 million respectively, recorded in 2014. The automotive market in Mexico is also booming. Despite already being the seventh largest exporter of all vehicles in the world, trends in the domestic automotive market in Mexico indicate there is even more opportunity for growth.
With this growth the industry is facing unprecedented challenges with an increasing focus globally on the development of new highly complex, integrated technologies. The advent of the ‘connected car’ is a major example of this where technology is being used to enhance driver support, increase fuel efficiency and improve powertrains. All of this puts a huge strain on the supply chain in an already skills short marketplace.
Whether you need mass manpower or niche talent to fulfil specialist roles, we can help you achieve your recruitment goals and meet industry demands.
Our Automotive team is made up of 26 specialist consultants who operate exclusively within the automotive engineering, technology and manufacturing sectors. We cover recruitment for the complete product lifecycle, across all vehicle commodities, from concept through to final assembly including electronics and software systems.
We are prominent in the provision of recruitment services to companies developing hybrid & electrical propulsion systems, and advanced engineering such as lightweight structures and supercar development. We also supply to the off-highway and motorsport industries.
By consistently delivering effective solutions for our clients’ individual needs, we have earned framework and managed service agreements with many of the UK’s most prominent Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), full service suppliers, 2nd tiers and consultancies.
Our long-lasting relationships with OEMs have afforded us a comprehensive understanding of their automotive supply chain. As a result, we have now built relationships with their chosen suppliers providing us with a clear view of the skills they need to support and deliver projects.
Our international experience includes placing candidates in over 130 countries, including local nationals and expats. In the automotive industry, this includes UK engineers supporting European-based programmes and automotive experts supplied to the Chinese market. From our offices in Stuttgart and Mexico City, we are able to support the German and Mexican car industries.
