Gateshead Head Office
Over 60 skilled electronic and software engineers work at the Gateshead headquarters, designing and manufacturing controls for zero emission electric and hybrid vehicles. Gateshead has been rated as a fantastic place to live and work by many employees.

Oxford development office
Oxford is Sevcon’s most recent regional base; created in 2016 to help support Gateshead and accommodate the company’s ever-expanding global presence and entrance into new markets with the continued growth in electrification of vehicles.

This team consists of multi-disciplined engineers that are experienced in design and manufacture for motorsport and automotive hybrid systems.

Sevcon are currently recruiting for a wide range of skills including electronics, software, systems validation, mechanical and safety specialists.

They’re looking for professionals with experience of Research or Development on automotive systems or similar complex systems, and skills in Motor Control, Model Based Design, Automotive Standards/Tools (26262, Autosar, ASpice), Software Engineering and Power Electronics. Working with Sevcon provides the opportunity to make an immediate impact in the Electric Vehicle market, whilst working in partnership with an array of global OEMs.
