Job description
Our client is seeking a skilled Telecoms Maintenance Technician to join a dedicated team of engineers operating on a long-term railway station maintenance contract. This role covers a wide area in the South West, specifically the Bristol area and the M4/M5 corridors, including Swindon, Worcester, and Taunton. You will be responsible for the day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance of communication systems across multiple railway stations. This includes CCTV, PA systems, customer information screens, public help points, and other IP networked communication systems.
Job Requirements
- Based in the Bristol or surrounding areas.
- Background in Telecoms, Fire & Security, SISS, CCTV, VSS display screens (analogue and digital), data networks, Fibre, Copper, CATV/CAT6.
- Experience in maintenance or installation of communication systems and infrastructure.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous railway experience is a plus but not essential.
- Ability to obtain a Railway Medical, Drug and Alcoholt, and obtain a DBS check.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on various communication systems.
- Handle call-outs and be available for on-call duties.
- Maintain and install IP networked and analogue communication systems, including CCTV, fibre, and copper networks.
