Job description
Structured Cabling Design Engineer needed to design networked telecommunications infrastructure for airport projects in West London. This contract role, inside IR35, offers an exciting opportunity for experienced individuals in a highly regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing detailed designs for Fibre Optics (internal and external), Cat5, and Cat6 structured cabling systems
- Collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure designs meet regulatory and technical requirements
- Conducting site assessments and surveys to inform cabling design and installation plans
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices in structured cabling
- Preparing detailed documentation and reports to support design implementations
- Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design to implementation
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in structured cabling design, particularly with Fibre (internal and external), Cat5, Cat6, and Copper cabling
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as Airports, Rail, MOD, Data Centres, or Power installations
- Knowledge of BICSI, Systimax, Netconnect, and Commscope accreditation's (preferred)
- Proficient in the use of design software and tools relevant to structured cabling design
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Contract role Inside IR35 with rate CIRCA £500+ - As inside IR35 can only be PAYE direct or via an umbrella company
