Job description
Our client, a global leader in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking an IC Design Engineer to join their mixed-signal IC design team in Southampton. This permanent position offers the chance to work at a state-of-the-art facility with hybrid working options. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in designing and manufacturing advanced infrared imaging products used in applications such as earth observation, border surveillance, search and track systems, and laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working to design specifications
- Completing analogue/mixed signal and/or digital design and development tasks
- Generating and completing rigorous design verification tasks
- Generating and capturing verification evidence
- Adhering to design processes and procedures
- Completing design validation from manufactured samples
- Accurately preparing technical documentation
- Customer-facing experience advantageous
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IC Design Engineer working with CMOS (experience with Readout ICs or imaging devices is advantageous)
- Strong analogue/mixed signal and/or digital IC design skills
- Experience in designing block level designs, schematic capture, and simulation
- Experience in leading projects and/or a small team is advantageous
- Experience in design flow from block level to chip level design is advantageous
- Proficiency with the Cadence IC design suite of tools
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Eligibility for full security clearance and access to UK-caveated and ITAR controlled information
