Where You'll Make an Impact
As a PCB Layout Technical Assistant, you'll support the full PCB design lifecycle - from approved schematics to production-ready data packs.
Working in a fast-paced, high-integrity environment, you'll collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver layouts that meet exacting electrical, mechanical, and manufacturability standards.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development Leadership
- Lead the design of innovative equipment while enhancing existing products with smart, future-ready improvements to maintain exceptional quality and performance standards.
Technical Authority
- Define clear specifications, conduct detailed analysis, and lead system integration to ensure rigorous testing and reliable performance.
Project Delivery & Collaboration
- Provide hands-on build support and collaborate with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure accurate execution and seamless delivery.
The Essentials You'll Need
- Qualifications: Hold a minimum HND in Electrical Engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of high-integrity design processes, with broad knowledge across systems and mechanical engineering disciplines.
- Design & Quality: Proven expertise in managing design lifecycle phases, from gated reviews through to final quality assurance, ensuring top-tier outcomes.
- Communication Skills: Confident in delivering client-facing presentations and engaging effectively with customers.
- Interpersonal Attributes: Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate technical concepts and build strong client relationships.
You'll need solid skills as a Technical Assistant, and while experience in Defence, Aerospace, safety-regulated industries, or Naval/Maritime is a bonus, it's not a dealbreaker.
