Job description
Our client, operating in the HTP sector, is seeking an experienced Site Agent/Project Manager to join their team near Suffolk. This is a permanent, site-based position that involves managing substantial civil engineering and major highway/infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing day-to-day operational roles on-site
- Managing projects ranging from £10 million to £20 million+
- Leading and mentoring the site team to ensure successful project delivery
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with Highways England standards
- Collaborating with commercial teams to manage budgets and financial aspects
- Ensuring all work adheres to relevant health and safety regulations
- Handling earthworks, structures, viaducts, roads, and roundabouts
- Maintaining strong client relationships and excellent communication
Job Requirements:
- Experience in project management within civil engineering and major projects
- Proven history of managing successful road projects
- Understanding of Highways England regulations and standards
- Capability to manage and deliver large-scale schemes (£10-20 million+)
- Experience with earthworks and structures
- Railway experience is advantageous but not essential
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
