The Role

  • This role will report into the Safety Engineering Manager and is a great opportunity for engineers with one to five years' commercial or military experience. You will be responsible for delivering projects, working in small specialist teams throughout the full project life cycle.
  • You will have the opportunity to support bids and develop your engineering and consulting skills to meet the demands of an ever-changing market. You will need to be a dynamic individual who seeks out every opportunity to add value to their clients and have a can-do attitude.

Experience

  • Experience in safety engineering projects, programmes and/or processes;
  • Experience in hazard analysis, risk management and reduction;
  • Project Management experience.

Responsibilities

  • On time and to budget delivery of safety engineering project/task outputs to meet the deliverables required by the contract;
  • Support to bids, proposals, analysis and report writing;
  • Provide reports on productivity and other performance indicators to the Project Lead for project specific tasks;
  • Assist the Capability Manager with developing new capability in order to meet new and emerging market demands;

Skills

  • Successful in establishing strong and effective working relationships with customers and colleagues;
  • Effective time management with good communication skills, listening skills with a flexible and positive approach to work;
  • Excellent report writing skills and high standards of quality; able to apply a logical and tailored approach to meet client needs.
  • Ability to engage with existing and potential customers, building trust and confidence.
