At Leonardo, we have an opportunity for a PCB Layout Lead to join our team in Edinburgh. Leonardo is a global leader in defence electronics and delivers mission critical systems for situational awareness, electronic warfare and surveillance across land, sea and air. The Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business, based in Edinburgh, is uniquely positioned as one of the world's top manufacturers of radars, lasers and infra-red countermeasure systems.
As a PCB Layout Lead you will manage a team of multi-discipline PCB Layout Engineers and to carryout PCB Layout related tasks. Reporting to the Electronics Functional Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of PCB Layout tasks as defined by Function processes and procedures.

What you will do:
- Provide overall management to the PCB layout team as the PCB Layout Subject Matter Expert - Advising on engineering best practices and tool use as required.
- Provide bids and proposal for new business, Engineering change etc
- Create complex multi-layer PCB with multiple design interfaces including RF, digital, FPGA, power supply and mixed signal
- Manage work package planning and scheduling to meet project milestones.
- Be responsible for completing PCB designs in accordance with agreed PCB requirements and project timescales.
- Create manufacturing data packs and documentation that comply with both company and industry standard processes.
- Liaise effectively with external suppliers, PCB Assembly and PCB Fabricator.
- Provide support for existing project schematics and PCB layout.
- Keep up to date with new PCB techniques, tools and standards.
