Job Vacancy: Freelance Electrician - Water & Wastewater Sector ⚡
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Freelance Electrician to support ongoing projects within the water and wastewater industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking for flexible contract work across various treatment works, pumping stations, and industrial sites.
There are multiple Anglian Water sites across Peterborough / Lincoln / Essex
💧 Key Responsibilities:
Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment within clean water and wastewater facilities
Work on pumps, motors, control panels, instrumentation, and onsite electrical systems
Assist with electrical commissioning and site upgrades
Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and breakdown response
Ensure all works comply with electrical regulations, safety standards, and site requirements
Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
🧰 Requirements:
Proven experience as an Electrician within the water sector (clean or wastewater)
Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition)
JIB Gold card
Confined space and EUSR/Water Hygiene training desirable
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems
Ability to work independently and travel between sites
Full UK driving licence
