Our client are currently seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join their team on a 4 month initial contract basis. The role will be remote with some limited travel to site in Hampshire.
This role involves maintaining an existing codebase and addressing identified bugs within a brownfield environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the existing PHP codebase
- Fix identified bugs and ensure the stability of the Management Information portal
- Collaborate with the wider team to support upgrades and migrations
- Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Ensure the appropriate handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in PHP, particularly PHP 8.0.6
- Experience with MariaDB
- Familiarity with Red Hat Linux environments
- Ability to work independently in a brownfield setting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of PII processing and data protection protocols
- Previous experience in a retail or similar industry is advantageous
