Role Scope
Based on-site in Skien, Norway, the Site Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering a flagship hyperscale Data Centre project. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will oversee and implement packages to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a primary delivery lead, you will manage sub-contractor supply chains, mitigate risks, and successfully manage our client's expectations to foster a highly positive, professional partnership.
Key Responsibilities & Job Purpose
Project Delivery & Progress Management
Manage the installation of M&E works packages to ensure absolute compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
Thoroughly review the Scope of Works (SOW) and produce comprehensive Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all activities.
Develop, maintain, and manage highly accurate two, four, and six-week look-ahead documents to drive the supply chain and hit critical target dates.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to issue technical submittals for all equipment and specialist packages.
Provide robust weekly progress reports to the Project Manager and deliver daily health and safety updates.
Health, Safety & Quality Control
Maintain impeccable on-site documentation, ensuring all health and safety boards, site inductions, Toolbox Talks (TBTs), and permit-to-work systems are strictly up to date.
Enforce absolute compliance with the company's health, safety, environmental, and sustainability policies, including the mandatory use of 5-point PPE.
Oversee rigorous Quality Control (QC) processes, generating snag sheets and tracking resolutions through to practical completion and client handover.
Assist with pre-commissioning checks, commissioning workflows, Test and Inspection (TWC) packages, and practical completion checklists.
Proactively identify, manage, and escalate any potential commercial or safety risks to protect the business.
Client Relations & Commercial Diligence
Act as a key client-facing representative on-site, maintaining a highly professional, courteous, and helpful demeanour at all times.
Manage material procurement in line with bulk orders placed by the Project Manager, actively identifying opportunities for "better buying" and strictly minimizing material wastage.
Ensure that site offices are kept immaculate, clean, and reflective of a professional corporate image.

Technical Skills & Qualifications
Trade Background: A proven, qualified background in a relevant trade (Plumbing, Pipefitting, Ductfitting, or Electrical) with a minimum of a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
Industry Certification: A valid CSCS Gold Skill Card reflecting your technical expertise and managerial status.
Site Safety: Fully certified with SMSTS (CITB) or SSSTS as an absolute minimum.
Experience: A proven track record of successfully delivering a similar supervisory or management role within complex construction or data centre environments.
IT Literacy: Intermediate proficiency across Microsoft Office packages, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
