Role Scope
Based on-site in Skien, Norway, the QA/QC Manager will take full accountability for safeguarding the engineering integrity of a major hyperscale Data Centre project. You will oversee all Quality Management Systems (QMS) and documentation, proactively identifying areas falling short of compliance. Working collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders, you will remediate these issues and continuously develop robust policies and procedures to ensure exceptional compliance standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities & Job Purpose
Quality Management & Compliance Tracking
- Establish and manage robust QA packages, complete with verified technical drawings, ensuring the site supply chain is fully equipped to execute works flawlessly.
- Lead the site snagging process using modern mobile applications and tablets, driving swift resolution and close-out of all defects.
- Build, update, and manage precise quality trackers to provide clear visibility on compliance milestones.
- Maintain a detailed, photographic log of all partial and completed site works to provide indisputable evidence of quality standards.
- Oversee comprehensive digital filing structures across internal servers and client-specific collaborative platforms.
Site Operations & Logistics Coordination
- Manage the rigorous logistics of the project, including scheduling site deliveries and prioritising workloads in alignment with business and programme demands.
- Coordinate the procurement and distribution of critical site provisions, including health and safety PPE and office stationery.
- Lead the initial setup of new site offices and maintain them continuously to ensure they reflect a premium, highly professional standard.
- Organise, conduct, and actively participate in essential weekly progress and quality coordination meetings.
Client & Supply Chain Relations
- Act as a key client-facing ambassador on-site, building trusted, professional relationships with both client representatives and the sub-contractor supply chain.
- Ensure all on-site activities project a pristine corporate image, demonstrating punctuality, courtesy, and a helpful manner to colleagues, clients, and fellow contractors.
- Uphold and strictly enforce the company's health, safety, and operational policies across all areas of responsibility.
- Safeguard all company-issued assets (including laptops and tablets), ensuring they remain secure, calibrated, and technologically up to date.

Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Academic Foundation: HNC qualified (or equivalent) backed by solid post-qualification experience in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
- M&E or Data Centre Experience: A proven track record of managing quality assurance and building relationships with clients and supply chains on complex, high-pressure construction projects.
- Digital Proficiency: Highly computer literate with intermediate to advanced proficiency across the entire Microsoft Office suite and modern site-based QA software platforms.
