Job description

The role

A knowledgeable and capable Manufacturing Engineer. The role holder will generate operations data within the appropriate factory system. The will achieve this through the accurate interpretation of Engineering

design intent/information, generation and review of various possible options and the identification and documentation of the optimum method.

Core duties:

• Responsible for converting the Engineering design intent (Drawings, standards etc.) into Manufacturing Engineering data for use in Operations
• Responsible for ensuring that their Manufacturing engineering output meets all relevant Safety and Quality requirements
• Responsible for generating and progressing Manufacturing engineering output in-line with Project/Programme requirements
• Responsible for the defining and execution of emergent work affecting submarine manufacture, fabrication or construction
• Responsible for communicating and working with a variety of stakeholders to deliver packages of work which achieve a 'business best practise' solution.
• Responsible for generating Manufacturing Engineering data output for routing tasks
• Responsible for the generation of Operations data utilising the toolsets within their area.
• Responsible for developing their depth and breadth of their Manufacturing Engineering sub-discipline skills.

Key Attributes:

• Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team
• Generation of creative and innovative ideas
• HNC or equivalent, Trade Background
• Knowledge of relevant Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering standards and SHE regulations
• Responsible for professing own development opportunities
• Knowledge of both SAP Production Planning & TeamCenter systems

Clearance Requirements & Eligibility

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working on-site. You will need to obtain a Criminal Record Check. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC and you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period.
