The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Position description

The individual in this role will be responsible for operating Project Planning, Monitoring and Control processes to support the Air ERP Business Service programme.

The scope includes the planning, monitoring and control of the Air ERP Costs, performance measurement, analysis and reporting, and responsibility for elements of the Air ERP Management Plan and its implementation.

This programme consists of a number of work packages that, when integrated, deliver the scope of the Air ERP Business Service. The role will involve operating as an integral part of the Programme Integration team, working with the Air ERP delivery teams, schedule lead, the Finance team and liaison with the lines of business and functions e.g. IM&T, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Commercial, Project Management, E&I, USP and COO being essential to the effective integration of the programme.

Core Activity

- Working with the Air ERP Programme Integration Manager, Finance and the Air ERP Team, develop and document the Air ERP Cost Management and Control Processes, including roles and responsibilities and toolsets.

- Implement and operate the Air ERP Cost Management and Control in accordance with the defined processes.

- Govern and provide technical guidance to the Air ERP team members on Cost Management and Control.

- Maintain the integrity of the Cost management baseline by ensuring effective change control and embodiment of re-programming and re-planning.

- Provide the Finance team with the monthly cost forecast in line with the required timescales.

- Co-ordinate the collection of the latest cost performance information, ensuring all cost variances are understood, validated and bridged each month

- Lead positive action to support the resolution of cost variances across Air ERP work packages.

-Measure cost performance against the budget and formulate latest forecasts to complete (each period) - through comparison of actual with current performance and trend analysis

- Analyse cost status - providing narrative inputs to management reviews and reporting

- Support the improvement of the Programme Integration Management service provided to the Air ERP team in 2021

Key Accountabilities

- Accountable for the governance and assurance of the cost management and control processes and their implementation across the Air ERP

- Accountable for establishing clear roles and responsibilities for delivery of the cost management and control processes.

- Responsible for the generation, maintenance and configuration control of the cost control systems on behalf of the Air ERP Business Service

- Responsible for leading the management of cost control across the Air ERP.

- Responsible for the establishment and operation of suitable review mechanisms to provide current management information on cost status and the health of the Air ERP costs against budget that supports delivery of Air ERP programme objectives

- The role will work collaboratively with Air ERP Team and suppliers, the Business and Functions.

- The role is responsible for working with the Schedule Lead and Resource Lead to ensure that the Schedule, Cost and Resource baselines and change thereof remain aligned.

- Responsible for provision of management and reporting information of the required quality and in a timely manner.

- Responsible for providing guidance and support to the Air ERP team on cost management and control.

- Responsible for the continuous improvement of the cost management and control across the Air ERP.

Qualifications/Functional Knowledge

- Educated to Degree level or equivalent

- Chartered Project Management status would be desirable and/or APM Practitioner Qualified

- Demonstrated experience in influencing and leading a team

- Minimum 10 years experience of planning, monitoring and control of complex projects in a business involving a large number of disparate stakeholders

- Specialist knowledge and experience in project and financial controls

- Strong co-ordination and organisation skills to support programme integration across the Air ERP Business Service

- Ability to challenge and establish trends or anomalous information in cost/schedule data

- Ability to synthesise programme information for internal stakeholders

- Good awareness of in-scope Functional activities
