To assist the Operations Manager in the day-to-day management and delivery of All Reactive & Project works for the TaPS (Tunnels and Pumping Station) contract.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Produce and check Reactive works Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and project CPP (Construction Phase Plan) documents
  • Produce works programs and liaise with contractor to ensure program target dates are met and manage contract EOT (extension of time) if required
  • Management of all client CDM data on their software management tool ASITE
  • Liaise and facilitate relationships with designers, contractors, stakeholders, and client
  • Advise designers on build ability of designs
  • Manage all permits and approvals for the schemes and book road space with permitting team for relevant Reactive & Project works
  • Assist in resolving site/construction issues
  • Arrange and chair progress meetings with contractors
  • Ensure works and projects are completed in accordance to the approved RAMS (risk assessment method statement and or agreed design
  • Ensure workforce adhere to H&S and Environmental rules
  • Inspect TM layout for relevant Reactive & Project works and address items raised
  • Produce site documentation and ensure site inductions are done
  • Work to an agreed program
  • Complete relevant period site audits during Project works and x1 monthly SHE site inspections for reactive works
  • Collate, manage, and upload final reports / as built and post construction information onto the client systems

Typical Skills/Experience

  • M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) experience essential
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise and manage a multiple of contractors at the same time
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communication skills
  • A Full Drivers licence
  • Competent IT skills
  • Knowledge of Chapter 8 and Traffic management
  • CSCS card holder
  • Essential to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of H & S practices
  • First Aid trained
  • HNC or equivalent within Electrical Engineering Field
