The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.

This role requires you to obtain a basic disclosure along with employment reference checks before starting.

Systems Engineer:

As a Requirements and Acceptance (R&A) Engineer, you will be required to assist in the development and management of project requirements and assist the Subject Matter Experts to develop evidence to demonstrate to the customer that the requirement have been met.

Core activity:

Provide engineering expertise to the development and maintenance of project requirements. This will include verification and validation details associated with the requirements. Also, provide engineering expertise to the process of customer acceptance.

Key accountabilities:

  • Lead management and maintenance of requirements using requirements development practices
  • Lead management and maintenance of requirement compliance details
  • Lead management and maintenance of the requirement's associated Assurance / Acceptance characteristics
  • Act as the senior point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives
  • Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their development
  • Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority

What we're looking for:

  • Degree or higher in relevant subject e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Maths
  • Other qualification equivalent to Degree or higher in relevant subject e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Maths
  • Experience equivalent to Degree or higher in relevant subject e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Maths
  • Excellent understanding of the engineering lifecycle
  • Excellent understanding of requirements development and management practices
  • Excellent level of competence and capability with requirements management tools and techniques
  • High level of understanding of configuration management principles
  • High level of competence and capability with Microsoft Office suite
