SUMMARY:

This Engineer III role will be supporting our client in Power Distribution System Planning and Grid Analytics Group serving the electric utility industry. This engineering group helps clients with grid modernisation efforts, grid analytics, electric system planning renewable energy and battery storage integration, among other things.

Be using your technical expertise and engineering knowledge to solve problems for electrical distribution maintenance functions and system operations. This will be done under limited supervision of senior power distribution engineers and project managers. Be involved in helping develop solutions and customer deliverables in the form of the technical reports and circuit models that help customers in the reliable and economic operation of, and modernisation of, their electric distribution systems. Grow your knowledge in battery energy storage, electrical distribution system planning and renewable generation systems. Candidates will be required to develop skills within the following software packages including but not limited to- CYME, ETAP, Milsoft, Synergi, PSCAD, PSSE, EKM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role acts under limited supervision in the area of power delivery and grid analysis. Engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems. Effective planning, organising, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities. Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance. Should be able to maintain electrical circuit models and data files. Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers. Monitor deliverable, schedules, and present solutions to the client. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or University in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). BSEE Degree awarded from a College of University that is accredited by ABET.

Experience should be between 5-7 years as an Engineer within the electrical industry in the power delivery field.
