Job description

• Identify and obtain the appropriate equipment and be familiar with consumables to carry out welding activities.
• Check the condition of and correctly connect welding leads/cables, hoses, shielding gas supply and wire-feed mechanisms.
• Set and adjust welding parameters, in accordance with the welding procedure and specification.
• Prepare the work area for the welding activities (such as placing welding screens, positioning fume extraction equipment).
• Comply with company quality requirements working to standards described in workmanship standards/weld procedure.
• Obtain and wear appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with Health and Safety requirements.
