The Job

Our client has an opportunity to join their Customer Care team based at their head quarters near Eastleigh. The Customer Care team provide professional, high quality customer service support to the UK businesses.

They are looking for someone who has a passion for customer service excellence, an eye for detail and a can-do attitude. In return they can offer a great opportunity to join an established department of 40-45 people within a global market leading organisation.

The key purpose of this role is to co-ordinate customer queries, quotations and orders effectively using commercial procedures which include contract review, metal management and currency booking.

In this role your key activities will be to:

  • Generate tenders and quotations and ensure an efficient turnaround time.
  • Co-ordinate the associated contracts and customer orders to the value of circa £80m per annum.
  • Ensure orders and enquiries are executed in an accurate, timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain accountability of orders from order input to billing and ensure timely resolution of queries and complaints.
  • Liaise with internal departments including Commercial, Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing and Finance to ensure orders are delivered on time and in the most profitable and efficient way.
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships by acting as their internal contact on all aspects of enquiries, queries and orders.
  • Support and assist with other business areas within Customer Care.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure we provide the most cost-effective solutions for the business balanced with world class customer service.

The individual chosen needs to come from a customer focussed background and be driven to exceed customer expectations. PC literacy and a good telephone manner are also a must to be successful in this role
