To be responsible for the delivery of the councils Lead Local Flood Authority duties under the Flood Risk Regulations (FRR) and the Floods and Water Management Act (FWMA) and related regulations and guidance.

Job Brief:
To be responsible for the delivery of the councils Lead Local Flood Authority duties under the Flood Risk Regulations (FRR) and the Floods and Water Management Act (FWMA) and related regulations and guidance;
To develop and implement plans required by the FRR and FWMA and related regulations and guidance working with owners, key partners and stakeholders to protect critical assets
To manage, or commission, where appropriate, the delivery of new and the repair or maintenance of existing relevant flood defences and critical assets and to bid for resources and manage budgets for the delivery of the Lead Local Flood Authority duties and projects
To lead on the delivery, implementation and management of other non-flood risk related highway/engineering projects as allocated from time to time.
