Senior Technology Project Engineer

Essential Functions:

• Execute research & development activities as directed by the Engineering Manager or Lead Engineer
• Provide technical leadership to less experienced team members such that projects are delivered to specification, on time and to budget
• Ensure that technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements are properly understood and that the design implementation meets these requirements
• Generate technical documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Keep up to date with latest aerospace technology especially that related to aircraft fuel system and general fluid management performance, including inerting technologies
• Identify emerging technologies that could be exploited in aircraft fuel and inerting systems.
• Ensure systems engineering is deployed across hydro-mechanical, electrical, electronic & software activities

Qualifications - External
Experience Required

• We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for the design processes, new product introduction who has creative/innovative thinking
• Engineering experience in a relevant professional engineering environment ideally gained in the aerospace or equivalent high technology industry Aerospace is not essential
• Experience generating and reviewing technical documentation
• Experience of electro mechanical products is essential
• Knowledge of aircraft systems is ideal not essential
• Knowledge of compressible and non-compressible flow is ideal not essential
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical machines - within a transferrable industry is required
• Professional manner and ability to work well with both internal and external customers
• ideally the successful candidate will have some experience communicating with external parties this is not essential
• Ability to present at internal and external technical reviews
• Interest in new and emerging technologies
