Senior Technology Project Engineer
Introduction
An exciting R&D opportunity for a Senior Technology Project Engineer in Fareham, Hampshire. This role will involve sensor technology research and development activities of future smart pump and valve systems.

Essential Functions:
- Execute research & development activities as directed by the Engineering Manager or Lead Engineer
- Provide technical leadership to less experienced team members such that projects are delivered to specification, on time and to budget
- Ensure that technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements are properly understood and that the design implementation meets these requirements
- Generate technical documentation in accordance with company procedures
- Keep up to date with latest aerospace technology especially that related to aircraft fuel system and general fluid management performance, including inerting technologies
- Identify emerging technologies that could be exploited in aircraft fuel and inerting systems.
- Ensure systems engineering is deployed across hydro-mechanical, electrical, electronic & software activities
Qualifications - External
Experience Required
- We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for the design processes, new product introduction who has creative/innovative thinking
- Engineering experience in a relevant professional engineering environment ideally gained in the aerospace or equivalent high technology industry Aerospace is not essential
- Experience generating and reviewing technical documentation
- Experience of electro mechanical products is essential
- Knowledge of aircraft systems is ideal not essential
- Knowledge of compressible and non-compressible flow is ideal not essential
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical machines - within a transferrable industry is required
- Professional manner and ability to work well with both internal and external customers
- ideally the successful candidate will have some experience communicating with external parties this is not essential
- Ability to present at internal and external technical reviews
- Interest in new and emerging technologies
- Candidates are welcome who have an education within engineering, maths or physics
