Our Client is recruiting an experienced Chemical R&D Engineer to join their growing R&D team working in the domestic aquatic appliances sector in Stevenage, England.

This is an excellent opportunity to innovate and discover new and exciting materials which may be used in the design of new products used by people all around the world in domestic aquatic applications

Quick Overview

Our Client is looking to develop on site hydrogen peroxide generator that will be used to disinfect the pool water along the side of our non-residual disinfection system.

My Client is looking to develop a salt chlorinator design that will generate chlorine from salt and use it to disinfect the pool water.

They are also looking to add to our current UV system copper, silver ionization, or oxygen to create the residual disinfection.

The candidate will be managing this project and will work with our electronic engineer that can develop for him/her the software and boards + our design engineer



As Research and Development Engineer will you be responsible for:

  • Plan and lead colour, material and finish research projects
  • Install and manage Chemical innovation ideas
  • Conducting experiments to discover new materials and their uses, along with further refining existing materials
  • Liaise with materials and chemical suppliers remotely and in-person
  • Consult with design and new product development team to implement new materials and coatings.



The successful Research and Development Engineer will have:

  • Proven experience as a R&D Engineer, Chemicals specialist, Chemicals Manager or materials scientist.
  • Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product or Innovation Engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or printing technology.



Some candidate criteria and job information:

  • 10 Years experience in R&D.
  • PHD degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience in catalysts for electrochemical processes.
  • Yearly Growth Salary from 35,000gbp.
  • To a certain extend Flexible in working from home.
