Working: This role can be done mostly remote, with the expectation of occasional travel to the office location in Essex.

As a software engineer, you will become a part of something greater than yourself by bringing your best in collaboration with other motivated and talented individuals across a diverse set of backgrounds and skill sets.

As a Software Engineer you will work within our existing systems team, designing, developing, integrating and testing system software to support the worldwide customer base. You will also have opportunity to work on exciting internal R&D projects to support the next generation of ATMS systems.

Experience needed:

• Ideally qualified to degree-level or equivalent experience in a Physics or Engineering based subject, such as; Electronics, Hardware, Computer Science, Software or Systems Engineering etc.
• Software Development experience in C / C++ / C#
• Competency with design patterns and their application to solve complex problems.

Desirable:

• Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous.
• Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model.
• Embedded SW programming experience RTOS knowledge.
• Knowledge of low-level communication protocols, Ethernet, Serial, PCI Bridge.
• Hands on fault investigation experience in embedded code environment.
• Knowledge of Radar systems is highly desriable.
