My client is recruiting for a Process Commissioning Engineer in the Water Sector

My Client has a new opportunity for an experienced Process Commissioning Engineer with previous experience in the water utilities sector to work across Water Sites across Wales.

You will be working on various projects predominantly Wastewater Treatment projects and duties will include:

  • Working on wastewater projects incorporating new build and refurbishment on apparatus such as; inlet works, Primary, Tertiary, Chemical Dosing (Ferric, alkalinity, poly), De-Watering and Secondary treatment plant (biofilters, ASPs), sludge treatment etc
  • Analyse data to lead the preparation and analysis of key process options, for review and agreement with the client and key project stakeholders whilst understanding risks associated with any gaps during commissioning
  • Undertake laboratory and sampling work on site and be able to record and interpret the results.
  • Full commissioning responsibilities including full documentation. Carrying out commissioning activities and manage suppliers / contractors for installation & commissioning.

Attend Factory Acceptance Testing. Assist the project team with project completions and handover.

  • Be involved in assisting designers develop new and refurbishment works for Water & Wastewater Treatment plants
  • Involvement in the installation and commissioning of projects from design to handover, the full lifecycle of a project.
  • Work within the team of mechanical, EICA and process engineers to develop best practice, a strong health & safety environment and value for money.
  • Producing commissioning documentation including; Commissioning Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, HAZCOMM & completion documentation.
  • Must be willing to travel and stay overnight when required.
  • Proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
  • Experience of installation & commissioning process assets
  • Experience of working to laboratory procedures and operating wastewater treatment plants
  • Experience of process commissioning within the Utility sector
  • A proven record with planning the commissioning process
  • Working to safe systems of work including producing and reviewing third party Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
  • Able to work well both within a team & independently
  • Excellent communication & IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence
