Functional Safety Senior Engineer - Steering Engineering (m/f/d)

Your tasks as Functional Safety Senior Engineer:

  • As Functional Safety Senior Engineer you will be part of a team of Functional Safety Engineers supporting a group delivering >10 million high performance electronic control units per year globally for automotive electric steering
  • Coordination/alignment of Functional Safety topics and interfaces within the project teams and customers, based on the system architecture, system/electronic control unit requirements, safety concepts (FSC/TSC) and the evaluation of safety goal violations
  • Perform safety goal violation analyses of electronic designs and promote compliance with Functional Safety processes (Project Team levels)
  • Close cooperation with Hardware / Software / Systems / Functional Safety teams in an international environment
  • To perform DFA analysis. (Common Cause/Common Mode)
  • To perform reliability analysis
  • To perform Random Hardware Fault Metric Analysis for ASIL D
  • To perform Supplier FMEDA (Micro/PSU/BD)
  • To derive requirements from DFMEA and DFA analysis.
  • HW component qualification and HW Tool Qualification.

    Your profile as Functional Safety Senior Engineer:
  • Minimum of an Engineering Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent
  • > 5 years of experience in developing safety critical automotive electronics
  • Detailed knowledge of Functional safety standards, including ISO 26262:2018, with proven experience of product development at the hardware level compliant to ISO 26262-5:2018
  • Experience in leading a small team, good communication skills and intercultural sensibility - Goal and solution orientated working style
  • Fluent English language skills (verbal and written) and a willingness to undertake travel are required
  • Good knowledge on ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and SN29500
  • Knowledge with Medini Analyze ,IQRM and reliability tool is good to have.
