Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a Defence contractor, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join them on a contract basis.

• Must either hold SC Clearance under ITAR regulations or be willing to undergo this before starting.
• Onsite in either Tewkesbury or Fleet, flexible working hours.
• Rates are open to negotiation, outside IR35.

Key Skills Required:

• 5+ years industrial experience
• Strong experience taking mechanical designs from concept through to production.
• Familiar with the design of rugged electronics enclosures for harsh environments.
• Experience designing fabricated, machined, injection mould and die cast electronics enclosures for EMC.
• Experience of designing parts in all major material groups.
• Familiar with configuration control processes using SAP, Aras PLM or similar.
