My Client is recruiting for a Project Manager - Asset Management/Water
Our Infrastructure Asset Management practice delivers data-driven solutions as well as providing asset management, regulatory, and technical advice to a range of clients, both in the UK and internationally. We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and immediately add value to the clients that we are working with. Location of role is flexible across the UK - with hybrid-working supported - with potential home offices including Birmingham, Bristol, London/Surrey, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London and Warrington.
The Role:
We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Asset Management systems team. Our projects span multiple infrastructure clients and can range from traditional asset management services through to innovative digital solutions, such as digital twins. You will play a leading role within our high performing and collaborative team, not only supporting the delivery of some of the most exciting Asset Management projects but also providing support during the bidding phase.
You will also have demonstrated strong commercial acumen in contract management and exception relationship management skills, developing effective and trusted relationships with our clients. You will have a passion for delivering successful outcomes to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Providing project leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
- Ensuring these projects meet business revenue, profit, and cash-flow expectations.
- Ensuring bids and projects are appropriately resourced and taking a Bid leadership role on selective pursuits.
- Contributing to the bid preparation and work winning process with focus on ensuring the deliverability of the tendered works.
- Owning and maintaining the project Risk Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies (RIAD) log.
- Establishing and implementing the programme and project change control.
- Relationship management, developing and maintaining client relationships to support project delivery performance and maximise potential for project extensions and new work.
- Ensuring compliance with Business Management, HSE and Quality procedures.
- Mentor and develop graduates.
Skills and Experience:
- Educated to a degree level.
- Chartered status (preferred).
- Must have Operations & Maintenance experience relating to projects including analytics, or Design & Construction.
- Must have a formal Project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM, ideally qualified to practitioner level.
- Demonstrable experience of budget management including estimating, cost tracking, profit management and cashflow forecasting.
- Experienced in managing risks, issues, change control and internal / external dependencies
- Experienced in the use of resource planning tools
- Strong stakeholder Management
- Have a working understanding of Waterfall and Agile deliver methodologies.
- Experience as a project manager.
- A proactive problem solver who strives to deliver sustainable results
- Experience of leading dispersed multidisciplinary teams and managing project with limited resources.
- A UK driving licence.
- An understanding of Asset Management (such as Operations, Maintenance, Capital Delivery)
- Consultancy Experience
- Experience in delivering and implementation Enterprise Asset Management systems (highly desirable)
- Experience of managing digital projects.
- Stakeholder Management and Communications Planning.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills (MS Project, Enterprise Advantage, Azure Dev Ops, etc).
