Job description

Our client is looking for 2 x Principal Systems Engineers who have knowledge of MBSE and how it is utilised in Integration, Validation and Verification processes.

As a Principal Systems Engineer you will apply subject matter expertise and domain experience to support submarine programmes to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities. Core duties will include:

• Provide specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise in the development of Submarine systems.
• Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
• Understand and support the flow-down of requirements to suppliers and acceptance of their specific deliverables, ensuring it is captured and recorded appropriately.
• Deliver design change requirements and documentation generated, captured, configured and controlled in accordance with company processes.
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers and support the engineering management team in planning and controlling specialist activities.

What we are looking for in you:

• Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle with experience of operating in the phase relevant to the role and awareness of the entire engineering lifecycle.
• The technical understanding of the context of their work within the overall product and platform/programme.
• Knowledge of MBSE and how it is utilisied in IVV processes.
• A strong understanding of other related project, product, programme, domain, discipline and functional teams of submarines or equivalent external bodies.

• Security requirements: SC + ITAR

You will need to obtain a Criminal Record Check and you must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct access to ITAR Material, therefore we can only consider UK Nationals for this position.
