Job description

Our client is looking for a Software Developers to join their Military, Air & Information team. As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with our Technical Managers to translate customer requirements into compelling designs and solutions which can be delivered on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of requirements, design and implementation, and test to a high standard, within schedule and estimates
• Software development of solutions
• Testing of completed functionality
• Adherence to project processes and software development practices
• Reporting on progress and providing feedback to team members and leadership
• Supporting System Test and Integration Activities
• Production of appropriate technical documentation
• Diagnosing and solving identified issues

Skills:

• Experience of software development including desktop-based applications in an appropriate language: Java
• Object-oriented design/development including UML

Preferred Skills

• Project specific tools and processes such as DOORS, Enterprise Architect, JIRA or Git

Additional information:

• Hybrid working - up to 3 days per week on site
• Security requirements: SC + ITAR

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a Criminal Record Check and you must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct access to ITAR Material, therefore we can only consider UK Nationals for this position.
