Introduction

Our client, a Manufacturing company based in Slough, is calling out urgently for a Quality Manager!

The Job

Job Purpose

  • Support business operations to ensure that SEC product quality and processes meets all customer and legal requirements
  • Support new product development initiatives/programs
  • Lead Continuous Improvement on site, drive company initiatives and change management, whilst ensuring excellence in manufacturing processes & standards
  • Manage new development inspection standards and risk analysis process
  • As the "representative" of customer satisfaction, manage the "Quality Incident Management" process and the deployment of problem solving tools and methodologies
  • Implement and lead Quality Action Plans
  • Manage the team of Quality Technicians and Engineers
  • Lead and drive company initiatives such as QRQC & EtQ
  • Internal External Audit and Certification - Customer and CB
  • Supply chain Quality Management in liaison with French and Tunisian Teams

Responsibilities


  • Implement and lead Quality Action Plan

  • Monitor quality reports (non-conformance, non-quality costs) in cooperation with airworthiness representative

  • Develop strategy, Support and validate FAI's process

  • Support and monitor the skills of the Quality Team

  • Support production transfers, lead continuous improvement projects

  • Conduct audits on their scope

  • Supervise inspectors and act on QRQC as expert

  • Promote, deploy, train & coach problem solving (8D, 5Y, etc.)

Management Responsibilities


  • Manage the team of Quality Engineers

  • Elaborate and manage the Quality Plans towards production units

  • Produce quality reports and lead audits on production units

  • Propose and pilot improvement plans and support technological transfers when required

  • Take the lead role in identifying and tackling the root causes of all major quality issues & problems.

  • Work closely with other departmental managers to tackle problems and improve processes

  • Ensure that key lessons are learnt and new or improved procedures are put in place

  • Deploy the Group Quality strategy within SEC UK in accordance with the Group strategy and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Manage SEC Quality Team, sponsor working groups and report indicators, progress reports to the Group

  • Ensure consistency of Quality maturity within SEC

  • Support continuous improvement through the optimization of processes & organization, in accordance to operational excellence goals

  • Develop and support the Group Quality network and sponsor QRQC across the Group.

  • Take a lead role in driving Company quality initiatives

  • Ensure that they are clearly communicated

  • Ensure that appropriate procedures are put in place to support the initiatives

  • Ensure that full and effective training is undertaken

  • Monitor, follow up and improve all such initiatives

  • Proactively work with the Operations Managers to improve their manufacturing methods and processes
  • Lead training and other initiatives to raise the standards of quality
  • Work closely with the Quality Systems Manager to ensure that the objectives of the Quality Team are fully aligned, and that resources are properly allocated to support both operational quality and system quality tasks
