Overview of Responsibilities / Skills Experience

The role:

The Product Assurance Manager will join the UK Product Assurance Equipment Engineering team, in which you will directly lead and manage the Electronic Engineering PA team. Your team will support a variety of electronic equipment's in development and production across all major programmes. You will provide functional governance activities to achieve overall product and process compliance, assuring reliable products and increasing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day support to the EE PA team influencing the correct Electronics and Test Equipment decisions during the development phase.
  • Management and facilitation of Major investigations.
  • EE Product Life Cycle Gate Plan management ensuring accuracy & topicality.
  • Management co-ordination and quality signatory of Product Non-conformance and key Quality documentation across the EE & Test Equipment domain.
  • Attendance at key Quality, Project, Manufacturing & Equipment Team meetings to support critical milestones & influence priority within the management teams.
  • Responsible for PA across an equipment team by applying the PA roles and responsibilities
  • Generation & review of bids and estimates supporting new business.

Function Focus:

  • Lead, facilitate and influence EE process governance ensuring correct process ownership, awareness and adherence it maintained.
  • Manage and facilitate LRQA external audit, key Process Improvement & Lessons Learnt activities within EE.
  • Support to key EE management reviews providing the Quality view on key activities via Quality dashboards.

What we're looking for from you:

  • An experienced quality professional, preferably within Electro-Mechanical or Electronic systems with a proven track record.
  • Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering but preferably Degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Practitioner of current QA problem solving and improvement methods (8D, RCA, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of the product lifecycle - specifically in development.
  • Leadership skills, behaviours & qualities with confidence to influence change at all levels of seniority.
  • Proficient in reporting analysing data; ability to run reports in Excel, use SAP QM system, and document management tools.
  • Ability to work internationally, respect cultural differences and adapt styles accordingly.
