These roles are for a leading Multi-disciplinary Consultancy whose projects ranges from highways to local regeneration schemes and high profile estate regeneration projects. As a result you will not be bored and will be presented with a varying workload, even with the opportunity to lead projects and teams should you wish to do so.

There are opportunities at varying levels and this business prides itself on the progression opportunities and personal development support that they offer. Salaries range from 28k up to 50-60k depending on experience, plus come with 26 days holiday and other benefits including professional development support.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day EIA project management and co-ordination;
  • Acting as lead author and editor of environmental statements, including drafting introductory and concluding chapters and reviewing technical chapters drafted by others;
  • Co-ordination of multi-disciplinary services on non-EIA projects and liaising with members of Waterman's technical teams;
  • Attending meetings with clients, design teams, local authorities and statutory and non-statutory consultees;
  • Managing project budgets for internal and external teams, including invoicing;
  • Assisting with preparing fee proposals and contributing to bids

Person Specification:

  • Educated to at least degree level in environmental science or a related subject;
  • A minimum of two years' relevant experience for the Consultant role, and five years' experience for the Senior role;
  • Demonstrable track record in managing and delivering proportionate EIA on complex sites in the UK;
  • Membership of a relevant professional body, such as IEMA.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of the EIA process and UK EIA Regulations, as well as a good understanding of the UK planning system;
  • A keen eye for detail;
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently, achieve deadlines and manage multiple workstreams;
  • Good organisational skills and an aptitude for project management;
  • Strong commercial awareness.
