Software Architect Areas of Responsibility/Tasks:

• Research and development of novel software solutions
• Define and develop the architecture and delivery of small to large-scale software engineering projects
• Providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to other engineers across the business

Key Skills

• Proven experience as a software architect and developer across multiple software languages.
• Demonstrable experience defining and executing robust engineering management plans. Familiarity using Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Proven experience maturing products through the TRL framework.
• Experience of designing software based on different data architectures (e.g. relational, NoSQL, Big Data, streaming data analytics)
• Experience of designing software in a variety of deployment settings (e.g. Cloud, On-Premise Data Centre, Desktop, Mobile, Embedded)
• Ability to clearly express design decisions in text and graphical formats such as UML or Archimate.

Security Information

Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC. To qualify, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV.
