Job description

Role:

The role will support the day-to-day provision of Facilities Support services by identifying and implementing facilities maintenance/improvement activities in line with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance and modification support to Buildings, Equipment or Company assets where required by Departmental Managers or on the grounds of Health & Safety, including but not restricted to:
  • Furniture moves and assembly
  • Moving of equipment around site
  • Small plumbing and drainage work
  • Changing lights (Tubes and fittings)
  • Painting and decorating
  • Weekly fire alarm checks
  • Cleaning up exterior of the building
  • Gardening (Cutting grass and hedges)
  • Inspecting/checking/cleaning pool car(s)
  • Aiding with general office work such as distribution of office supplies/materials
  • Upgrade/Project work as required

  • Assist with outsourced facilities contracts, ensuring best practice is implemented
  • Ensure the business meets all its' statutory compliance needs
  • Work to a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule
  • Support the business in out of hours' emergency situations as part of the duty callout team

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Understanding of Facilities, Health, Safety & Environmental Legislation, statutory compliance and best practice
  • General building maintenance experience
  • Self -driven and able to monitor own performance effectively to ensure deadlines are met
  • IT literate with familiarity of using Microsoft software (e.g. Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Full Driving license
  • Able to attain UKSV security clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment
  • Team player able to work both as part of a team and alone, with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in the Out of hours facilities rota
  • May be physically demanding and lifting of equipment will be required
