Job description
We are looking for a Civil DPE (Designated Project Engineer) in the Rail sector.
An experienced Civils Project Engineer who would act as DPE across a work bank of projects, NR experience
Remote working
£500 +- INSIDE IR35 per day.
6-month rolling contract.
Based In central London.
Hybrid Role
Ideally be chartered.
We would also like someone with a good knowledge of Network Rail and the Grip stages having worked for NR or on NR projects.
The role can be mainly working from home but will need the candidate to go to the Birmingham office 2 times a month.
Summary:
We are recruiting for a well-established Company that is in need of a Civil DPE (Designated Project Engineer) that's ambitious and motivated.
You will need to deliver projects to the engineering management, you will be accountable for the technical delivery of projects; setting the direction by which a project will progress, and managing the technical interfaces between engineering disciplines and stakeholders to deliver the best value outcome for the client against the requirements set.
You will be part of our continuous improvement strategy, sharing knowledge with other DPE engineering colleagues within the team to maintain high standards and efficient delivery across all our projects.
Role Description:
As a Designated Project Engineer, you will be accountable for assurance of projects across the engineering life-cycle of a project. The candidate will be required to assure the application standards and procedures to facilitate project delivery in a way that is cost-effective, safe, and environmentally responsible.
You will be required to liaise with stakeholders and others as appropriate to achieve project delivery, projects, were documented in the Engineering and Construction Management Plan and specifically endorsed by the Engineering Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer CEng / IEng.
- Recognised engineering qualification or preferably a degree in Engineering.
- Previous Designated Project Engineer experience in rail projects, in particular Rail Systems.
- Solid Grip Experience
- The candidate needs to have a good knowledge of the Network Rail
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous design experience (preferred).
- Excellent organization skills and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- To be able to motivate teams and individuals to deliver their best work on projects.
- To effectively plan, monitor, and control the technical delivery
- Apply principles of rail System Engineering including requirements specification and management, designing for robustness (Whole System Life-cycle), Safety by Design, and System Integration and Verification.
